Brian Culbertson1973年1月12日生於美國伊利諾斯州的德克托，其父親Jim Culbertson是一名資深的高中爵士樂團導師和小號手，自小Brian Culbertson就聽他父親平常聽的像the Brecker Brothers、David Sanborn等人的融合爵士樂；同時，他也喜歡70年代一些R&B/pop/funk類的音樂，如： Tower of Power、Earth, Wind & Fire等樂隊。8歲那年接受鋼琴課程，9歲轉到鼓演奏，12歲到貝司。由於對古典樂章反覆演奏的厭倦，上國中時，他便開始自己創作現代流行音樂。到Culbertson上高中時，由於深受製作人兼創作人David Foster的影響，他就已經擔任自己的音樂"Long Night Out"製作人，一個人包攬所有樂器部分的演奏，並對其加以編排。當然也正因為此，早早成就了Brian Culbertson這樣一個全能選手. 在2005年正式加盟GRP Records並推出首張大碟, 充滿感性的精彩錄音! 他的音樂，演奏旋律性強，R&B與Funk味並重，非常時尚，深受都市年輕人的喜愛。

Brian Culbertson的名字已經在爵士樂界活躍了十年多, 很早以前, 他已經出版第一張個人大碟, "Long Night Out", 是由他親自監製的; 他不單止懂得玩多種的樂器, 更懂作曲, 他的才華令到他當年年紀輕輕已得到爵士樂權威雜誌Down Beat的讚賞, 名氣漸增!! 多年來, 在WEA旗下推出了數張受歡迎的唱片, 和不少出色的樂手合作, 例如有David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, Herb Alpert等合作, 之後在今年（2005）正式加盟GRP Records並推出首張大碟, 充滿感性的精彩錄音!!
