完美結合了Green Day的Boulevard of broken dreams，Oasis的wonder wall，Travis的Writing to reach you和Aerosmith的Dream on，結尾是Eminem的Sing For The Moment，都是大牌樂隊的經典之作。
樂曲背景
2005年接近尾聲的時候一個美國青年收到Green Day的啟發，在網上擲出了一顆音樂手榴彈—American Edit。
這顆手榴彈的威力非同小可，專輯中除了Green Day還有Oasis Travis Queen Aerosmith Eminem等人的歌曲採樣。這是一張remix的專輯，作者富有創意的講這些人的歌曲混入原來Green Day的歌曲中，同時混的很搭。但是在被MTV、NME、SPIN等著名媒體關注和報導的同時，還一度受到來自Warner Music、EMI的巨大壓力——阻止其發行——差一點就使這張專輯胎死腹中。
