Book取得事業上的巨大突破是在7歲，當時他在舞台劇《美女與野獸》中扮演Chip。
2009年1月27日發行《Love Struck》專輯。隨後他們與華納兄弟簽約。
他在2009年扮演《Fame》（中文名為《名揚四海》）中的一個有抱負的歌手Marco。
2009版《Fame》音樂電影是翻拍自八十年代同名電影。該劇導演是Kevin Tancharoen，編劇阿麗娜.布羅什克納和阿利森.伯內特。
