人物經歷
1984年獲羅薩里奧大學醫學學士學位，1987年獲巴黎第七大學生物化學碩士學位，1991年獲劍橋大學遺傳學博士學位。1992-1994年在史丹福大學醫學院從事博士後研究，1994-1998年任哥倫比亞麥德林大學醫學院生物化學系助理教授，1998-2000年任英國倫敦帝國理工學院醫學院講師，2000-2006年任英國倫敦大學學院生物學系（高爾頓實驗室）講師、高級講師，2006-2017年任英國倫敦大學學院遺傳進化環境學系教授、名譽教授，2017年2月起任復旦大學生命科學學院特聘教授。
研究方向
疾病和非疾病表型的基因分析和群體遺傳學研究。自2012年以來，一直從事人類表型特徵的基因分析研究。通過拉丁美洲的混合人群樣本研究美洲原住民、非洲人和歐洲人的表型特徵的區別，並利用遺傳數據來推斷歐亞大陸、美洲和非洲次大陸的起源問題。
