為“黃大嗓”。黃鶴小的時候就表現出很強的音樂天分，光著腳丫就跳就蹦。黃鶴的爸爸媽媽都喜歡唱歌，全家人有一個習慣，平時就喜歡跑到山上去“嚎”一首。“嚎”的時候，都喜歡把鞋子脫掉，據說這樣比較有感覺，比較踏實。黃鶴也繼承了父母的這種“傳統”，她表示光著腳唱歌很舒服，很踏實，會讓自己想起，在家鄉踩著泥土的感覺。
黃鶴的爸爸媽媽下崗早，所以家庭條件不是很好，感受到父母養育自己的艱辛，黃鶴希望能夠通過自己的努力讓父母的生活變得更好。在參加浙江衛視《中國好聲音》的時候，黃鶴直言，自己的夢想是，希望能夠站在大大的舞台上，唱歌給爸爸媽媽聽。要為爸爸媽媽，為自己的家鄉爭一口氣。
在參加浙江衛視《中國好聲音》的盲選時，黃鶴赤著腳，演唱了一首格萊美最佳女歌手、英國靈魂女聲Adele（阿黛爾）的《Rolling in the deep》，憑著精彩的演繹，成功讓楊坤、庾澄慶和那英為之轉身。第一個轉過身來的楊坤直言黃鶴的聲音有一種國際范兒，這是吸引他轉身的原因。而那英更是被黃鶴的赤腳表演打動，主動脫掉鞋子，光著腳丫上台，和黃鶴共同演唱了自己的經典作品《征服》。最終，黃鶴選擇了那英為自己的導師。
《中國好聲音》導師考核，黃鶴和侯祖辛被分為一組，兩人演唱了英國女歌手Jessie J Cornish的《Domino（多米諾）》，在這場表演上，黃鶴還是保持了她上一次的那種節奏感，動感十足的表現（劉歡評語），腳踏實地的舞台表現也贏得了庾澄慶的肯定。不過，最後侯祖辛憑藉聲音的多變性更高，贏得了這場導師考核，黃鶴遺憾的離開了《中國好聲音》的舞台。雖然沒能走得更遠，但這個年僅20歲的在校女生，以她淳樸至真的表現成功打動了很多觀眾朋友的心。

黃鶴生在貧困縣，從小在父母的感染下，喜歡赤腳唱歌，聲音具有爆發力，帶著大舞台歌唱的夢想而來。
一個喜歡唱歌的小姑娘，二十歲正是享受青春的年紀，在中國好聲音的舞台上，她“征服”了那英。很多朋友開始關注這位女生，雖然是一位學生，但是她的歌聲絲毫不受年齡的影響。
