教學課程
先後承擔本科生課程《普通昆蟲學》（國家精品課程）、《無脊椎動物學》，研究生課程《生物多樣性保護與利用》、《昆蟲形態學》、《昆蟲形態學研究進展》等教學工作；培養的研究生多人榮獲國家獎學金。
學術成果
先後主持國家自然基金、國家自然基金重大課題子課題、教育部新世紀優秀人才支持計畫項目、教育部直屬高校基本科研業務費（優秀青年人才）科研專項、陝西省自然基金等科研課題；2005年獲周堯昆蟲分類學研究基金；2007年獲陝西省優秀博士論文獎勵；2007年入選西北農林科技大學“青年學術骨幹支持計畫”；2009年獲“中國昆蟲學會第四屆青年科學技術獎”；2010年入選“教育部新世紀優秀人才支持計畫”。
