作者簡介
James R．McGuigan，原為韋恩州立大學(Wayne State university)商學院的財務學副教授，現在他擁有並經營著自己的古錢幣投資公司。他畢業於卡內基?梅隆大學(Carnegie—Mellon university)，並在芝加哥大學(university of chicago)商學研究生院和匹茲堡大學(university of Pittsburgh)分別取得MBA和博士學位。儘管作者已離開大學或研究機構，但並沒有遠離學術界。其主要研究領域是公司財務，並與他人合作在South—Westen出版公司出版了《管理經濟學》(Managerial Economics，2005)(第十版)、《現代財務管理基礎》(contemporary Financial Management Flandamentals，2005)等多部教材和著作。
