馬里奧·德沃·巴瑞特（Mario Dewar Barrett），生於1986年8月26日，以其藝名Mario（Mario）知名，是美國R&B歌手、作曲家、演員、模特、舞者及慈善家。

早年經歷

Mario成長在馬里蘭州的巴爾的摩，生活在一個普通人的家庭。他和他的祖母一起生活，而他的單身母親陷入了毒癮。在他4歲的那年,他說想成為一名歌星。他的母親為了支持他的夢想,買了一台卡拉OK機。Mario在新澤西州的提內克讀中學的時候，和Mo'Nique(美國女演員)，和最好的朋友Jaye Brebnor，還有他年輕的乾妹妹Chea Tyler一起加入了音樂團體。在他的音樂生涯里他一直很投入音樂中。他學會了用鋼琴，並用鋼琴去創作旋律和歌曲。他11歲那年參加美國寇平州立大學的達人秀，隨後被音樂製作人Troy Patterson發現。Mario進學院讀到高中十年級（相當於國內的高一或高二），14歲的他受到音樂老師的鼓舞，還受到J Records總裁Clive Davis的青睞，與唱片公司J Records簽約。他的音樂受Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Usher, Joe影響。

2002年在2002年的格萊美典禮翻唱Stevie Wonder的經典名曲"You and I"，有著不錯的表現，並開始錄製他的第一張專輯。

第一張專輯Mario 時期(2002-2003)

2002年7月，Mario的第一張專輯出版了。主打曲“Just A Friend 2002”，脫胎自HIP-HOP傳奇人物Biz Markie發表八九年的暢銷單曲“Just A Friend”，致敬意味濃厚。接下來發行的單曲有"Braid My Hair" 和"C'mon"。專輯推出後獲得了Billboard專輯排行榜第九名和R&B/Hip-Hop專輯排行榜季軍的好成績。直到2006年，他的第一張專輯賣出70萬張。

第二張專輯Turning Point 時期(2004-2006)

第三張專輯Go!時期 (2007-2008)

Mario的第三張專輯是獻給他的母親Shawntia Hardaway。第三張專輯在2007年10月9日率先在南非的Gallo唱片發行，隨後在2007年12月11日在美國發行。該專輯原定於06年11月28號以"Mario Barrett - Effortless"的專輯名來發行。這本應該是Mario用全名推出的第一張專輯。之後發行的日期一次次推遲，包括：4月4號、5月8號、7月31號、8月21號、10月9號和11月27號，很有諷刺意味的比原定日期晚了整整一年。與DJ "Z"的訪談中，Mario說因為唱片公司的問題，唱片發行推遲了6~8個月。

專輯特約製作人Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, Bryan-Michael Cox, The Neptunes, Sean Garrett,Timbaland和Akon等輕易的讓Mario圓滑性感的心靈與R&B、hip hop融合在一起，突出了Mario多面性的嗓音。

第四張專輯D.N.A. 時期(2009-2010)

第五張專輯 (2011-現在)
