演藝經歷
Macklemore在常綠州立大學獲得了學士學位。2000年，他以Professor Macklemore名字發行了EP《Open Your Eyes》。2005年，他發行了自己 的首張正式專輯《The Language of My World 》。
2009年9月，他發行了Mixtape《The Unplanned》，他以自己的毒品經歷創作出了大受好評的歌曲“Otherside”。
Macklemore每年會給冬粉們舉辦一個披薩派對，冬粉們有機會通過歌唱，畫畫等方式來得到與自己偶像見面的機會。
在個人方面， Macklemore並沒有出生在一個音樂世家。但是其父母都很支持兒子的音樂旅程。Macklemore有一個職業是英語老師的兄弟。
從社會身份和地位來講，Macklemore是一個受壓迫受歧視的人。Macklemore曾是一個吸毒者，在吸毒的過程中他的名聲大跌，也讓他自己無所適從，因此開始戒毒。但Macklemore已經成功戒除毒癮，並在一步步走回樂壇。
也正因如此，他的歌曲裡面包含著數個對消費主義、種族和毒癮的看法和觀念。人們不應該戴有色眼鏡歧視他。

2.1ThriftShop
發行於2012年9月的一首滿是消費觀念的說唱歌曲，讓Macklemore的人氣暴漲。這首歌取得成功代表著世界對他個人的肯定，也代表著世界對消費主義的思考再次升華。
在美國DigItal Song top40中，Thrift Shop創造了10周冠軍，打破了2009年轟動全世界的組合the black eyed peas的代表作“I gotta feeling”的記錄。這首舊貨店已經在全球翻唱數百次。
