人物經歷
現為甘肅農業大學教授、博士生導師，現為中國農業科學院一級崗位傑出人才；國際研究所（ILRI）動物遺傳資源分子評價項目首席科學家；中國農業科學院（CAAS）- 國際畜牧研究所（ILRI）畜禽及牧草遺傳資源聯合實驗室首席科學家；國際氂牛研究信息中心（International Yak Information Center, IYIC）秘書長；中國氂牛品種協會負責長等職，入選甘肅省“333”人才工程。
主要成就
主持完成了奶牛血液遺傳標記及其與經濟性狀相關關係的研究（1994）；利用螢光法鑑別Y-小體和免疫電泳法分離牛精子進行性別控制（1995）；舊世界駝屬動物遺傳關係及多樣性的研究（2003）；全球氂牛遺傳多樣性的研究（2004）。1994年作為項目主持人之一獲甘肅省科學技術進步三等獎； 2003年獲歐共體-肯亞農業科學院國際合作研究優秀成果獎；2004年獲沙烏地阿拉伯王國商務及工業部國際合作獎；2004年獲第29屆國際動物遺傳學會優秀論文獎；2005年獲第四屆非洲畜牧學會優秀論文獎。《比較血型學》（日譯漢），1991年，中國科學技術出版社。出版專著和教材有：《Yak Production in Central Asian Highlands - Proceedings of the 1st International Congress on Yak held in Lanzhou, P.R.
