靖元孝,男,華南師範大學教授,2006年獲中山大學環境科學博士學位,博士生導師。中國生態學會會員、中國微生物學會會員、廣東省草業協會副秘書長。

主持多項廣東省自然科學基金、廣東省科技計畫和廣州市科技計畫項目,參加國家“863”科技攻關項目及國家自然科學基金課題研究工作。在《Chemosphere》、《Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety》、《Applied Soil Ecology》、《生態學報》和《環境科學學報》等國內外刊物上發表論文50多篇。授權國家發明專利4件。
