本書以崔永元主持的《實話實說》欄目的談話內容為語料,對電視訪談中的話語緩和進行綜觀考察,分析其策略、語境制約及語用功能,並結合語言順應論與語用移情理論探討其心理運作機制。話語緩和指言語交際中說話人弱化其施為力度以減緩話語負面效果的言說方式,是一種語言現象也是一種語用策略。它涵蓋了言語行為的指事、行事與成事,並在這三個維度上通過交際者之間的意義協商達到話語力度與話語負面效果的同步弱化。
