人物經歷
閆威2006年畢業於南陽師範學院套用數學專業。2006－2011年間在華南理工大學碩博連讀（1+4提前攻博），並獲得博士學位。其中2006-2007年，攻讀碩士，系統學習橢圓方程理論，導師是沈堯天教授，2007-2011年，攻讀博士，導師是李用聲教授，系統學習雙曲方程與拋物方程理論，系統學習了隨機微分方程和流體力學方程。另外自學了一些黎曼幾何的知識，李群和李代數以及孤子理論， Topological methods in Hydrodynamics (V. I. Arnold, B.A.Khesin).研究興趣包括發展方程的適定性與不適定性，強解的爆破性與全局存在，弱解的存在性，穩定性與不穩定性和散射性，衰減性。
社會兼職：美國數學會數學評論(Mathematical Reviews)評論員。
