科研項目與獲獎
近年來從事嵌入式計算系統與多媒體網路等方面的研究和教學工作。作為項目負責人主持包括2項國家自然科學基金、3項湖北省自然科學基金,1項中國博士後科學基金,1項華為高校科技基金在內的多項研究課題,是中國音視頻編解碼標準AVS第二部分:視頻的主要起草人之一。申請專利6項,已授權3項。負責開發出實用化的嵌入式視頻編解碼器,已在實際的視頻監控系統中得到推廣套用。指導的學生獲獲湖北省優秀學士學位論文一等獎1次,其他級別獎多次。擔任華中科技大學信息大類平台課主講教師,獲華中科技大學教學質量優秀獎、教學競賽二等獎等榮譽稱號。在ACM Multimedia、IEEE ICME、IEEE ICCCN、Springer Multimedia Systems、《計算機學報》、《電子學報》、《計算機輔助設計與圖形學學報》等國內外權威期刊和重要國際會議上發表論文50 余篇,其中近20篇被SCI和EI 收錄。在IEEE多媒體領域最重要會議ICME 2011上發表的論文獲最佳提名獎。
