1999年6月與2002年4月分別獲得南京郵電大學計算機科學與技術系工學學士學位與工學碩士學位。
2007年4月，獲得新加坡國立大學（National University of Singapore）計算機學院（School of Computing）哲學博士學位。博士研究方向為多媒體系統與基於內容的音樂信息檢索。博士論文題目為《基於內容的音樂摘要，分類和檢索》。作為主要研究者參與完成多項新加坡科技研究發展局（Agency for Science， Technology and Research）的國家級重點項目。
2007年9月開始在南京郵電大學任教。近年來在國際會議和國際核心刊物上發表20餘篇學術論文，出版專著一本，參與國家863重點項目與國家自然科學基金各一項，主持校引進人才項目一項。
個人履歷
擔任IEEE Trans on Multimedia、IEEE Trans on Audio Speech and Language Processing、IEEE Trans on Information Forensic and Security、ACM Trans on Multimedia Computing Communications and Applications,、Multimedia Systems Journal、韓國研究院ETRI（Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute）等期刊的審稿人（Reviewer）。
擔任過ACM SIG on Multimedia Conference 2008、International Conference on Internet and Multimedia Systems and Applications 2008，International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing（WCSP 2009、2010、2011）等國際會議的學術委員會（Technical Program Committee）委員。
