她從來都沒有結過婚，更不用說有孩子了，她曾經在一個採訪會上提到”我想我父母的離婚對我產生了很大的影響，並且我是在70年代成長的，婚姻在那時候對我來說並不重要，但是愛是非常重要的。”

達納·德拉尼從90年代中期開始，Delany和她的朋友Haron Monsky已經在“Scleroderma Research Foundation”這家公司中工作了。她和導演Bob Saget一起工作，Dana在電視劇For Hope (1996)中出演角色，那個角色的原型就是導演Bob Saget死於疾病的姐姐。
