鮑勃·霍普(Bob Hope)和平·克勞斯貝(Bing Crosby)在他們的最後一部公路電影中飾演騙子切斯特·巴布科克(Chester Babcock)和哈利·特納(Harry Turner)。切斯特意外地記住並銷毀了俄羅斯研製新型火箭燃料的秘密配方的唯一副本。他們被捲入了國際陰謀，試圖在不讓配方落入敵人手中的同時保住性命。
