劇情簡介
在遙遠宇宙的最深處，有一顆名為塞博坦的星球。數千萬年前，一種高級智慧生命體為了某種目的開發出軍用和民用兩種機器人，但是隨著各種事件的發生和機器人不斷進化，機器人最終取得獨立和自由。他們分別稱作狂派（霸天虎）和博派（汽車人），雙方為了爭奪塞博坦的統治展開曠日持久且不斷升級的戰爭。能源枯竭的塞博坦迫使博派向外尋求能量，而狂派尾隨而至，雙方最終來到了地球。自此以後，雙方在擎天柱和威震天的率領下，以地球為據點展開新一輪的較量。神乎其神的變形能力，不斷得到開發的新型戰士，以及彼此全力爭奪的能量塊。宏偉的變形金剛故事緩緩拉開大幕……
