《視頻通信與網路》可作為信息科學技術領域高年級本科生和研究生的視頻通信與網路參考教材，也可供從事研究和技術開發的專業人員自學和進修。
作者簡介
陳長汶，紐約州立大學布法羅分校計算機科學與工程系教授，中國科學技術大學大師講席教授，IEEE Fellow，SPIE Fellow。1983年獲中國科學技術大學工學學士學位，1986年獲美國南加州大學電子與計算機工程系碩士學位，1992年獲美國伊利諾伊大學電子與計算機工程系博士學位。曾任美國佛羅里達工學院電機工程系Allen Henry講座教授，也曾任教於美國密蘇里一哥倫比亞大學以及美國羅切斯特大學。還擔任過沙諾夫（Sarnoff）研究中心互動式多媒體實驗室主任，美國航空航天局（NASA）特約研究員，微軟亞洲研究院特約研究員，柯達研究院特約研究員，《IEEE Trans: on Circuits and Systems、for Video Technology》主編，以及多個國際期刊的編輯。陳教授長期從事計算機視覺及醫學圖像分析、圖像視頻信號編碼與通訊、無線通信與網路、無線感測器網路等領域的教學和研究工作，並在這些領域取得了一系列開創性成果。2003年獲美國Sigma Xi傑出研究生導師獎，2003年獲中國國家自然科學基金會海外傑出青年基金，2010年獲德國洪堡研究獎。
