行內韻

概述

詩行中間停頓處的重讀音節與該行最後一個重讀音節押韻者，叫行內韻。如：

Spring, the sweet spring, is the year’s pleasant king;

Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,

舉例

行內韻是指詩行內某個詞同行尾那個詞同韻的現象，比如Samuel Taylor Coleridge 塞繆爾·T·柯勒律治《老水手之歌The Rime of the Ancient Mariner》，詩中這種情況俯首皆是。如：

The guests are met， the feast is set。(例一)

And a thousand thousand slimy things。(例二)

The ship wascheered the harbour cleared。(例三)

一般說來，行內韻因發聲的重複強調了節奏，增添了樂感。它的頭韻（參見例二）和尾韻（參見例一和例三）兩種形式比較，由於英詩的開頭字母往往是摩擦（fricative sound）輔音（consonants），這種音發聲比其它音突兀緊促些，所以包含行內頭韻的詩句比大多數含行內尾韻的句子語速更快、語氣更急。
