本資料庫可以使用新藥申請號 (New drug application number， NDA number)，藥品活性成分名 (Active Ingredient)，藥品商品名 (Drug Name)， 藥品申報機構名(Applicant holder)， 藥品專利號等幾種方法來檢索. 在新藥申請號， 藥品活性成分名， 藥品商品名， 藥品申報機構名的選項下，每中檢索方法過包含了”處方藥”，”非處方藥”(OTC)， “停止上市藥”三種選擇項。

推出的FDA上市 藥品檢索平台。該資料庫包含FDA到目前為止已上市或曾經上市的全部藥品，幫助您快速獲知某藥品及相關藥品在美國註冊、審批、專利等方面的重要信息。
特點
1、支持模糊查詢和組合查詢，各條件間關係為邏輯與。例如在藥品商品名中輸入Levofloxacin，即可查詢所有在美國上市的左氧氟沙星品種。
2、有效成分和商品名不能少於3個字元，新藥申請號為6位數字，格式為nnnnnn。各檢索條件意義如下：
*藥品通用名或有效成分：Drug generic name\Active ingredient。
*藥品專利藥名或商品名: Brand name。
*藥品註冊申請號：Application number。
*藥物劑型或給藥途徑:Dosage form\route of administration
3、檢索結果包括：
*商品名(英文名)、有效成分、劑型、規格、申請號、產品號、市場狀態、TE代碼、批准日期、RLD代碼、藥品類別、申請機構。
*該藥品的美國專利號，專利失效日期、專利類別，並可直接一次性完整下載專利全文，格式為PDF或TIF兩種。
*市場獨占權保護情況，含獨占權類型及失效日期。
*藥品註冊審批信息，含全部歷史審批數據，審批時間、審批類別、藥品說明書、綜述、通知件等。

Today， over 2,000 newmedicines are in development. Many of these potential new medicines will failin clinical trials, but some may represent tomorrow's new treatments. Bringingeach new medicine to patients will require, on average, 10-15 years of testingand review. This database includes medicines currently in clinical trials or atFDA for review. The information contained in this database was derived fromWolters Kluwer Health's Adis R&D Insight and is published with permissionunder license with Wolters Kluwer Health. PhRMA has not reviewed or verifiedthis information.

This index lists over 8900distinct drugs for the treatment and/or prevention of human diseases andmedical conditions. These products are part of our Infoknowmics™ Knowledgebasebecause they disclosed development activity in the past 9 years. The indexincludes all types of drugs across all clinical indications. It includes drugsthat are currently in the discovery, preclinical or clinical stages ofdevelopment, drugs that have been approved and launched during this timeperiod, as well those that have been discontinued.
For each product, we listits various names including the proprietary name (also called the brand name ortrade name), which is usually followed the trademark (™) or registeredtrademark (®) symbol. In addition, we provide the generic name (recommended orapproved by international and US nomenclature committees), as well as anyaliases which are typically laboratory code names, or new names assigned by alicensee or co-developer.
The type of each product isalso given. This category includes traditional product types, such as drugs,antibiotics, vaccines, and hormones, as well as newer types of products such asmonoclonal antibodies and other types of recombinant proteins, celltherapeutics, gene therapy, DNA vaccines, antisense, and RNA interference-basedproducts.
Each product is indexed to its Originator Company, for intellectual property purposes. Please note thatbecause out-licensing, co-development or other types of partnerships may existfor each product, the Originator Company may not be the company currentlydeveloping the drug.
