莫日根(內蒙古大學教授)

莫日根(Morigen),2005年畢業於挪威奧斯陸大學醫學院分子生物學專業,獲博士學位。之後在挪威腫瘤醫院癌症研究所做博士後研究。2009年10月回國任內蒙古大學生命科學學院生物化學與分子生物學教授、博士生導師、內蒙古遺傳學會副理事長、中國細胞生物學會理事、《中國生物化學與分子生物學報》編委。

研究領域

1.DNA複製調控分子機理、基因表達、代謝和細胞周期。 2. 癌細胞DNA複製與基因組穩定性。
DNA複製是個嚴格控制的細胞過程,與細胞周期的其它環節密切協調。複製起始的準確時空調控是一個正常細胞周期開始的必要條件。準確DNA複製使子細胞得到完整的遺傳物質,以此將遺傳信息從親代完整的傳給子代。本實驗室主要以大腸桿菌為模式生物研究DNA複製調控分子機理,複製與基因表達、代謝和細胞周期其它環節之間的聯繫和協調。
2. 癌細胞DNA複製與基因組穩定性。
DNA複製差錯或異常(過多或過少)複製會降低基因組穩定性,並由此可能引發細胞癌變或發育缺陷。根據2006年的統計,人細胞有165種蛋白質參與DNA複製,38種疾病與DNA複製差錯有關。最近美國科學家發現干擾DNA複製起始負調控蛋白質Geminin的表達會選擇性地抑制癌細胞生長。這對開發和發展抗癌藥物意義重大。本實驗室將逐步開展癌細胞DNA複製與基因組穩定性等方面的研究工作。
