紐卡斯爾大學(Newcastle University),簡稱紐大,是位於英國英格蘭東北部的世界一流研究型大學,英國著名公立大學。紐大是英國著名的常春藤聯盟羅素大學集團,N8大學聯盟的成員,英國老牌名校之一,擁有英國頂尖的醫學院,同時該校在科學、工程、法學及人文社科等方面皆相當出色,此外,也是英國擁有最多歐盟研究檔案的大學之一。紐卡斯爾大學目前除了英國泰恩河畔紐卡斯爾本校區外,在亞洲的馬來西亞以及新加坡分別設立了馬來西亞校區和新加坡校區教授部分專業領域課程。
該校創建於1834年,是英國歷史最悠久的大學之一,創建之初名為「醫學與外科學院」(School of Medicine and Surgery),隨後成為分裂改制前的杜倫大學的另一半部的學院,在1963年根據國會法案(Act of Parliament)與杜倫大學分別成立各自獨立的學校,正式全名為「泰恩河畔紐卡斯爾大學」(University of Newcastle upon Tyne)。
2014年12月18日,在英國唯一由官方每7年發布一次的REF英國大學科研實力(原RAE)排名中,紐卡斯爾大學居全英第16位;在2018年泰晤士高等教育世界大學排名位居全英第26位;在2019年QS世界大學排名上位居英國第22位,世界第141位;在2018年USnews世界大學排名居第187位;在2017英國政府教學卓越框架質量榜單中,成為TEF金獎大學;在最新2018及2019QS世界大學排名中,紐卡斯爾大學獲得5+星級評分,全英僅有兩所大學獲此殊榮。
