纖維素是自然界最豐富的生物質且不可食用,將其轉化為燃料和化學品是發展可再生能源的一個重要方向。本項目將圍繞纖維素高效轉化為化學品,構築納米結構仿酶功能固體酸催化劑和能夠產生可逆質子酸的固體金屬鹽體系,實現溫和條件下纖維素的綠色高效水解;構築具有特定結構與功能的分子篩、金屬和金屬氧化物催化劑,與纖維素水解步驟耦合,將生成的葡萄糖中間體高效加氫、脫水或選擇斷裂其C-C與C-O鍵,實現纖維素定向轉化為山梨醇、異山梨醇、甘油、丙二醇、羥基丙酮等多元醇目標產物。揭示甘油特定C-O鍵活化機理,實現選擇氫解合成1,3-丙二醇,實現甘油和羥基丙酮選擇氧化合成1,3-丙二醇和乳酸等目標產物。利用Raman、XAFS等譜學、同位素標記和動力學等手段在接近反應條件下研究催化劑活性位結構和反應機理等,並結合理論計算,認識催化劑活性位結構、酸鹼性等因素與其催化性能間的關係,為纖維素和其它生物質高效利用奠定科學基礎。
