第68屆托尼獎（Tony Awards）在紐約的無線電城音樂廳（Radio City Music Hall）舉辦了頒獎儀式。在本屆“托尼獎”上，澳大利亞男星休-傑克曼（Hugh Jackman）擔任主持，這也是他第四次擔任該獎項的主持人；曾主演《絕命毒師》（Breaking Bad）的布萊恩-克蘭斯頓獲得了“話劇類最佳男主角獎”；而主持了“托尼獎”的尼爾-派屈克-哈里斯，則憑藉《搖滾芭比》獲得了“音樂劇最佳男主角”大獎。
本屆“托尼獎”最大的主角是憑藉《Lady Day at Emerson′s Bar &Grill》獲得了“話劇類最佳女主角”大獎的奧德拉-麥當娜，這已經是她職業生涯第6次獲得“托尼獎”，她不但追平了朱莉-哈里斯（Julie Harris）的獲獎次數，而且還成為“托尼獎”史上首位在四個演藝獎項（話劇類最佳女主/配角，音樂劇最佳女主/配）中都獲得獎項的女藝人。
