童曉立，男，1960年7月出生，浙江金華人，中共黨員。現為華南農業大學農學院昆蟲學系教授、博士生導師。

2003.12月晉升為教授、博士生導師；
1996.10-2001.06 香港大學生態與生物多樣性學系，獲博士學位。
1995年任華南農業大學昆蟲學系副教授；
1990年任華南農業大學植保系講師；
1985.09-1988.07 華南農業大學植保系，獲碩士學位，同年7月留校任教。
1979.09-1983.07 浙江林學院林學系（現浙江農林大學），獲學士學位。
社會職務
2003年起被聘為國際水生昆蟲學SCI源刊物Aquatic Insects 編委，負責亞太地區相關稿件的審理工作，與國內外同行有良好的合作關係。現為美國太平洋沿岸昆蟲學會（Pacific Coast Entomological Society）會員。主講《普通昆蟲學》、《環境生物學》、《昆蟲分類學》和《科技文獻與論文寫作》等本科生課程，《水生昆蟲與淡水生態》、《昆蟲分類學原理和方法》和《淡水生態學》等研究生課程。
科研工作
主要研究領域和興趣
（1）昆蟲分類學；
（2）水生昆蟲生物學及生態學；
（3）淡水生態學；
（4）生物多樣性與保護生物學；
（5）植物保護學；
（6）土壤動物學。
目前正在開展的研究工作
（1）酸性礦山廢水引起河流生態系統退化的機理及修復原理；
（2）利用大型底棲動物（以水生昆蟲為主）群落結構及凋落物分解速率監測水質污染並評價河流生態系統的健康狀況；
（3）蜉蝣目昆蟲的分類及生態學，重點研究蜉蝣稚蟲分類及其與水質的關係；
（4）纓翅目昆蟲的分類及生態學，著重研究菌食性薊馬的分類及其在森林土壤及凋落物層中的生態功能。
課題項目
主持完成了“中國蜉蝣目稚蟲分類和生物學研究”（國家自然科學基金項目）、“基於水生昆蟲群落結構的河溪水質污染預警系統的研究”（國家自然科學基金項目）、“蜉蝣目稚蟲分類及其與水質的關係”（教育部留學歸國人員科研啟動基金項目）、“華南酸性礦山生態退化機理及其治理的研究”（教育部科學技術研究重點項目）、“人類活動與干擾對廣東省森林土壤節肢動物群落多樣性的影響”(Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden Biodiversity Program) 和“Epson Pearl River Delta Freshwater Biodiversity Scoping Study”（WWF Hong Kong）等科研項目。先後主持或參加國家、省自然科學基金、省部委等科研課題十多項。
