王嫣 現為華盛頓大學醫學院外科教授，國際知名腫瘤病理學專家。王嫣教授於北京大學醫學院獲得醫學學士學位，並在俄亥俄洲大學醫學院獲病理學博士學位。曾任美國俄亥俄州大學醫學院助理教授、教授和華盛頓大學醫學院賽特癌症中心研究成員、外科助理教授。研究方向為癌症化學預防的動物模型研究和癌症發生的易感基因，並取得了一系列重要的研究成果。王嫣教授建立了與人肺癌發生機理相似的A/J 基因突變小鼠模型和肺鱗狀細胞癌動物模型用於肺癌研究，主要研究中草藥在肺癌早期治療及其預防中作用及機理，並發現多種中藥方劑對大鼠肺癌腫瘤模型有對抗作用，為肺癌預防和轉化醫學的研究做出了積極貢獻。在Nature Genetics、 PNAS等世界頂尖雜誌發表SCI論文114篇，承擔美國NIH等各類科研課題11項。此外，王嫣教授還是美國癌症研究協會的專業會員。
