《漢語運動事件類型學探究（英文）》是對Talmy所提出的語言類型學理論的實證研究。
《漢語運動事件類型學探究（英文）》就漢語的語言類型歸屬問題從辭彙化角度展開了討論，運用語料庫的方法蒐集漢語連動式的語料，並對語料進行分析，得出反駁Slobin、部分支持Talmy觀點的實證。
此外，《漢語運動事件類型學探究（英文）》通過比對漢語、英語和西班牙中的路徑動詞的辭彙化模式和數量，進一步得出漢語處於由一種語言類型向另外一種語言類型發展的過渡階段的結論。
