泰山學院材料與化學工程系是泰山學院建設的集理工科為一體的教學系部，下設化學工程與工藝、材料化學和高分子材料與工程本科專業，套用化工技術和材料工程技術兩個專科專業。

專業設定：材料與化學工程系是我學院重點建設的集理工科為一體的教學系部。現有化學工程與工藝、材料化學和高分子材料與工程本科專業，套用化工技術和材料工程技術兩個專科專業，全日制在校生800餘人。逐漸形成了以工科本科為主，多專業、多層次辦學的學科專業布局。
Professional: Materials and Chemical Engineering College of Mount Tai is a key set of science and engineering as one of the Department of the Ministry of Education. May 2003 lines, the existing Chemical Engineering and Technology, materials chemistry, polymer materials and engineering expertise of the three undergraduate and also to recruit chemical application technology, materials engineering specialist expertise of the two. The New Gong Keji gradually formed a multi-disciplinary, multi-channel layout of the school of professional disciplines.
師資隊伍：擁有泰山學院首批優秀教學團隊-化工工程與工藝優秀教學團隊。現有教授2人，研究員2人，正高級職稱占11%；博士5人、碩士17人，碩士以上占85%。另外聘有中國科學院院士錢逸泰等4位著名學者為兼職教授。

教學科研：擁有泰山學院首批優勢學科---有機化學與工程優勢學科；擁有泰山學院首批研究所-元素及金屬有機化學研究所，設有化工、材料專業教研室和專業圖書資料室。綜合實驗中心下設化工、材料實驗室、新材料研究室；擁有國內先進的化工原理、精細化工實驗室；擁有Bruker APEX(II) CCD單晶衍射儀、電化學工作站、皮秒雷射器等先進教學科研設備；擁有國家自然科學基金項目、廳級項目3項，院級重點項目和引進人才啟動項目6項。自2004年以來,在國內外學術刊物發表論文400餘篇，其中SCI收錄200餘篇、EI收錄20餘篇，獲得國家發明專利2項；承擔國家自然科學基金項目2項、合作項目1項、省自然科學基金及廳局級科研項目10餘項。

學生工作：
我系“綠野環保協會”是學院的“十佳學生社團”，2005年學生工作總結表彰，六項綜合指標名列前茅，其中以第一名的優異成績獲“宿舍管理先進系”榮譽稱號，成立了“泰安社會福利院”、 “徂徠鎮希望國小”等大學生社會實踐基地。大學生科技創新，2007年學生王文鑫、馬升勇同學的作品榮獲第十屆“挑戰杯”全國大學生課外學術科技作品競賽山東省特等獎、是山東省入圍全國總決賽的17所高校之一，並榮獲全國三等獎，另有兩名學生作品榮獲山東省三等獎。
