柴強主持和參加完成國家和省部級科研課題20餘項,獲甘肅省科技進步二等獎1項,三等獎4項,地廳級獎3項,申報國家實用專利1項。先後在國內外學術期刊上發表論文60餘篇。參編《新型多熟種植》、《黃土高原旱地農業-理論、技術、潛力》、《節水農業在中國》、《節水農業技術》專著4部,參編《農作學》、《農業生態學》以及研究生教材《農作學》3部。主講“植物化學生態學”、“農作學”、“農業生態學”、“生態學”等碩士生和本科生課程。主要從事多熟種植、循環農業和節水農業領域的科研工作,共主持和參加完成科研課題17項;獲省科技進步二等獎1項、三等獎4項,地廳級科技進步獎3項;參編教材和專著5部,在“生態學報”、“套用生態學報”、“Plant soil and environment”、“Crop science”等國內外學術期刊和國際、國內學術會議發表論文60餘篇。
