林偉，博士，男，研究員，博士生導師，國家傑出青年基金2012獲得者。1968年生於黑龍江省齊齊哈爾市，1990年畢業於長春地質學院套用地球物理系，1996年於南京大學獲碩士學位，2000年於法國奧爾良大學獲博士學位。現任研究室副主任，中國地質學會構造地質學與地球動力學專業委員會第八屆委員會副秘書長。

2002.10－2004.10 日本學術振興會特別研究員，日本名古屋大學地球科學系。

研究方向

研究領域：構造地質學：通過中小尺度的構造解析，了解造山帶及其前陸的構造幾何學、運動學及其動力學機制。
目前的研究興趣：
1. 超高壓變質岩的構造折返歷程：
-同造山期伸展穹隆的研究（秦嶺－紅安－大別山－蘇魯造山帶，西南天山）；
-造山帶的垮塌：中國東部白堊紀伸展構造的研究 （遼東、遼西、冀北）；
2. 造山帶與盆地動力學：盆山耦合系統的構造解析（天山和塔里木盆地，大別山及其前陸）
3. 地球早期的構造演化剖析
4. 陸內造山帶的構造剖析（以華南-華東地區為例）
-Structural analysis of ductile and brittle deformation；
-Tectonics of orogenic belts；
-Geodynamics of continental lithosphere and plate evolution.
