李興偉，1996年本科畢業於復旦大學化學系，2005年獲美國耶魯大學化學系博士學位，並獲得耶魯大學該年度Richard Wolfgang 最佳（化學）博士論文獎。2005-2006年在美國加州理工學院John Bercaw實驗室從事博士後研究工作。2006-2008年任新加坡南洋理工大學助理教授。2008-2009年在美國Scripps研究所任催化領域助理教授，2010年3月作為“百人計畫”引進到所工作，擔任創新特區研究組組長，2011年獲中國科學院“百人計畫”擇優支持。主要從事金屬有機合成及其反應機理以及以能源和方法學為導向的催化反應（如C-H及C-C鍵的活化及選擇性氧化）研究，在發展金屬-（雜環）卡賓鍵化學方面有豐富的經驗積累。
