人物經歷
1988年至1990年在貴陽鉛鎂設計研究院任助理工程師。1991年赴澳大利亞留學，先後於1994、1998年從西澳大利亞大學獲得碩士及博士學位。先後在日本交通省港灣研究所、帝京大學(Deakin University,Australia)工程技術學院、愛丁堡大學土木與環境工程系、澳大利亞昆士蘭大學等單位工作，2003年元月受聘為河海大學水力學及河流動力學專業“長江學者獎勵計畫”特聘教授。
李凌教授研究方向
李凌教授長期從事環境水力、泥沙及水資源學領域的工作，著重研究沿海水力、泥沙過程，並在教學和科研工作中的貢獻顯示了他開拓性的思想和見識。在研究海水與地下水的相互作用方面取得多項突破性成果，其中，他提出的超短及超長周期地下水波動理論，成功地解釋了長期令人困惑的實驗觀測。這些理論目前已被研究同行接受為地下水的波動原理。李凌教授在海灘穩定性方面的研究也有獨到之處。他成功地建立一個包括地下水滲透因素的海灘泥沙運移模型。地下水對海灘穩定性的影響早在1940年就已引起人們的注意。由於其中的物理過程複雜，因素繁多，研究一直停留在定性分析。李凌教授建立的數字模型使得定量分析及預測成為現實。最近李凌在地下水污染對海洋影響方向提出了獨特的理論。此項工作得到了世界著名教授Moore的高度評價（“substantial contribution to the emerging field of submarine groundwater discharge”）。該理論為Moore教授1996年發表在“自然”（nature）雜誌上的實驗觀測數據提供了可靠的解釋。
主要貢獻
2001年5月，李凌教授應邀出席了著名的德國國家研究院組織的國際地下河口研討會，並主持了物理組的討論。李凌教授近五年先後發表論文33篇，其中被SCI收錄26篇，EI收錄6篇。
