李元新，男，博士，教授，博士生導師，獲得長江學者獎勵計畫青年學者項目資助。研究方向為非線性系統的自適應模糊控制、容錯控制及事件觸發控制。近五年來，以第一作者在控制領域的國際權威期刊《Automatica》、《IEEE Trans》等上發表SCI檢索論文50餘篇, 高被引論文7篇。主持國家自然科學基金項目2項和省部級項目3項。入選遼寧省“興遼英才”青年拔尖人才，遼寧省百千萬人才工程百層次，遼寧省優秀科技工作者。曾獲遼寧省自然科學三等獎 ，“遼寧省優秀博士論文”，“CAA優秀博士論文”提名獎，第七屆錦州青年科技獎和首屆錦州十大青年科技英才。現任中國自動化學會信息物理系統控制與決策委員會委員，中國自動化學會數據驅動控制、學習與最佳化專業委員會委員。主講本科課程和研究生課程，年均200多學時，教學效果得到學生及同行們的高度評價，曾獲遼寧工業大學教師講課大賽一等獎，遼寧工業大學“三全育人”先進個人，遼寧工業大學優秀碩士論文指導教師，遼寧工業大學教學成果一等獎和遼寧工業大學創新創業競賽指導教師。2020年主講的《機率論與數理統計》獲遼寧省一流課程(負責人)。
