研究領域

主要研究方向:乾旱區環境演變,地貌與地表過程,水文/沉積物地球化學,風沙地貌與環境,水循環與碳循環等。
在研究領域上,側重於乾旱環境及其地貌景觀的形成、演化和表生物質循環過程的研究。近年來,針對中國北方乾旱-半乾旱區的水文、第四紀沉積和無機鹽沉積開展了地貌學、沉積地質學、水文學、地球化學和年代學等研究,力圖為理解乾旱環境下的水文-地貌演化、陸殼風化、古氣候與古環境變化、表生物質循環過程和規律等提供科學證據。例如,認為乾旱區(荒漠/沙漠)流域水文地球化學格局具有明顯的地域性特徵,三水(地表水、地下水、降水)之間具有不同的區域性循環機制;水文地球化學成因上,乾旱環境下受氣候因素主導,非乾旱區受區域地質地貌因素主控,人類活動對低地形潛水層(如綠洲)水體已造成明顯影響;西風氣候系統下的西北沙漠(以塔克拉瑪乾為例),沙物質來源具有粗沙異質、細沙高度混合特徵,冰川、風、河流和湖泊過程共同制約了沙的來源和沙漠的形成;沙區陸殼化學風化以碳酸鹽富集和鈉、鉀矽酸鹽分解為主,受控於區域活動構造和持續乾旱的氣候因素,處在大陸風化的早期階段;北半球中緯度氣候梯度帶上,含碳無機鈉鹽決定了中國沙漠沙土壤的基本屬性,無機鹽組成、分布受控於大尺度氣候水熱組合條件和風場因素,為大氣過程起源,主要來源於區域乾沉降;渾善達克沙地晚第四紀地表有機碳密度在2500g/m2和1500g/m2之間變化,沙漠化引起區域有機碳總量損失40%。
