表型遺傳學(
Epigenetics)的生物化學機理。眾所周知,各種不同的體細胞均具有同一
基因組,然而卻各自表達不同類的基因。近年來的許多研究工作表明
染色質(chromatin)的各種
共價修飾,如
組蛋白修飾(histone modifications)和
DNA甲基化修飾,對
基因表達的表型遺傳學調控起著重要作用。染色質修飾的多樣性以及對這些修飾的識別為細胞提供了一套
遺傳信息的檢索系統。本實驗室致力於利用生物化學手段分離純化與染色質修飾有關的各類
蛋白質複合體(protein complex),研究它們的生物學功能和作用機理。
