劇情簡介

“In a city where dreams are made, a young woman struggles to make hers a reality.
Elly grew up in Mexico City, consumed with the allure of Broadway, but after making a life-changing move she quickly learned that her dreams of stardom had to take a backseat to the realities of New York City life.
Following years of living in Chinatown, under the thumb of her landlady and boss, Mrs. Chen, Elly learns of a call for open auditions to the role of a lifetime in the Broadway show, “The Manhattan Girl.” She pleads with Mrs. Chen to give her time off, but Mrs. Chen sees herself as a practical woman who lacks patience for the fantasies of others.
