先鋒國小始建於1995年1月。
1995年4月16日，搬到到裕廊西。
校舍在2007年和2008年重建。
2009年1月，學校遷至現址。
這所學校是打開在裕廊西延，興南國小（1988年）後的第二國小。

新加坡先鋒國小的使命是創造一個充滿愛心的，並有挑戰性的學習環境。學生不僅要取得學業成功，實現自己的價值，同時也要養成良好的性格品格和領導能力，使他們能夠為社會服務。
