主要內容

《埋樂坑照托馬斯﹒胡德詩選》(雙語版)首次將“雪萊時代和丁尼生時代之間最偉大的詩人”的詩歌系統地介紹給國內讀者,該詩集收錄了胡德充滿溫情的浪漫詩、他立身揚名的幽默詩,以及讓許多讀者滿含眼淚同時使他名揚世界的人文主義詩篇及其他。
此外,該詩集的附錄里還收錄了在托馬斯﹒胡德詩歌啟發下而創作的詩歌,即英國桂冠詩人塞西爾·劉易斯、謝絕桂冠詩人頭銜的英國詩人、小說家菲利普·拉金等的作連鍵埋品,及根據需要只項重迎收錄了英國當代詩人溫迪的愛情詩《午飯後》和在英語世界流傳很廣的愛國詩篇《在佛蘭德斯戰場》等。

作者簡介

托馬斯·胡德( Thomas Hood, 1799-1845)是介於雪萊時代和丁尼生時代之間最偉大的英鴉故兵國詩人。他早年受浪漫主義詩歌的影響,創作了充滿溫情的浪漫主義詩篇,被稱為“浪漫主義最早和最後的一個信徒”。使他立身揚名的幽默詩更是他的名片,此外,他充滿人文主義的公眾詩篇 《襯衫之歌》和《嘆息橋》等讓許多讀者唏噓不已,此類充滿人文關懷的公眾詩歌,使他的名字被世界銘記。胡德的詩歌風格涵蓋了他那個時代的各種詩歌流派,介於浪漫主義時代和維多利亞時代之間,卻又不屬於兩者中的任何一種。他嫻熟地駕馭各種迥然不同的詩歌氣氛的能力令同時代的其他詩人難以企及。他豐富的詩體及對詩歌的貢獻使他成為“這個時代最偉大的詩人”。
徐艷萍(譯者), 西安電子科技大學外國語學院副教授, 碩士生導師,劍橋大學英語系訪問學者(2012,10——2013,10)。研究方向:英語文她紙想學、詩歌,發表英語詩歌方面的論妹舟文20餘篇, 其中《談E·E·卡明斯詩歌中的“變異”和“突出”》被引用50次。船連匪主編教材二本,參編教材一本,詞典二部。出版有譯著《英國桂冠詩人詩選》《又見情人節》
