愛麗絲·華克

愛麗絲·沃克（英語：Alice Walker，1944年2月9日－），是一位美國作家和社會活動家，曾獲普利茲小說獎、美國國家圖書獎[1][2][3]，代表作為《紫色姐妹花》，史蒂芬·史匹柏曾將其改編為同名電影。

早期生活

愛麗絲·沃克出生於喬治亞州的一個小鎮，有兄弟姊妹八人，她最小。母親為幫傭，從小便必須打理家務。八歲時因哥哥不慎導致右眼失明。曾任教於加州大學，致力介紹非洲作家，並長期關注民權、婦女運動。

個人生活

1965年，沃克與猶太民權律師Melvyn Rosenman Leventhal相遇。他們1967年3月17日在紐約市結婚。那年晚些時候夫婦搬遷到密西西比州傑克遜，成為“密西西比第一對合法結婚的跨種族夫婦”。他們受到白人的騷擾和威脅，包括三K黨。他們夫婦1969年生了一個女兒Rebecca。沃克和她的丈夫於1976年離婚。

90年代中期，沃克與女創作歌手特蕾西·查普曼開始了一段戀情。
