廖潔橋,男,1981年9月出生,博士,“瀟湘學者”特聘教授,博士生導師,國家自然科學“優秀青年基金”和湖南省自然科學“傑出青年基金”獲得者,湖南省“百人計畫”青年項目和湖南省長株潭高層次人才聚集工程“優秀青年人才”項目入選者。2003年與2008年先後於湖南師範大學獲得學士和博士學位;2008年至2016年先後在中國科學院理論物理研究所、香港中文大學、日本理化學研究所和美國加州大學默塞德分校從事研究工作。主要從事量子物理、量子光學和量子信息領域的理論研究。迄今已在Phys. Rev. Lett.、New J. Phys.、Phys. Rev. A和Opt. Express等刊物上發表SCI論文近60篇。先後主持承擔了國家自然科學基金優秀青年項目、面上項目和湖南省自然科學基金傑出青年項目等科研項目10項。
擔任湖南師範大學物理系科研副主任、物質微結構與功能湖南省重點實驗室副主任、第六屆中國青年科技工作者協會理事、湖南省青年科技工作者協會理事(基礎科學專業委員會主任委員)、湖南省光學學會常務理事、湖南省物理學會理事、湖南師範大學科協委員等職務。

學術貢獻
1.提出了打破力學暗模效應的物理機制,實現多個力學振子的協同基態冷卻;
2.獲得了光力系統中單光子和兩光子輻射和散射的精確解,發現了聲子邊帶對光子阻塞的調製規律;
3.發現了單光子光力耦合的物理放大機制,實現單光子水平的光力效應觀測;
4.提出了Floquet邊帶加強共振平移過程的物理機制,可製備巨觀可區分的薛丁格貓態;
5.發展了求解洛倫茲波包散射的拉普拉斯變換方法,獲得系統瞬時量子態的精確解析解。
