成就榮譽
孟廣耀教授長期從事無機固體化學與製備科學研究和教學，先後承擔國家基金委和省、部級、國家科技攻關、中科院重點基金等研究課題20餘項，主持多項國際科技合作，包括美、日、法、荷、丹麥、瑞典、俄羅斯等國家的知名實驗室。在國內、外學術刊物上發表論文約250篇，專著1部，合著4部，發明專利15項（6項已授權）。先後主講本科生和研究生課程10門。指導、培養了30多名碩士生和20多名博士生，曾獲中國科技大學王寬誠教書育人獎、工業震雄獎和中科院優秀研究生導師稱號。

⑴ 固態離子學與電化學（Solid State Ionics and Solid Electrochemistry)
自1981-1982年在美國史丹福大學材料科學與工程系作為訪問學者進行氧離子導體研製以來，一直致力於固態離子學和電化學套用研究。主要是新型固體電解質和電極材料的探索、化學合成，結構與性能表征，側重於固體氧化物燃料電池研製與開發。“十五”期間的研究課題包括863高技術發展計畫項目“中溫固體氧化物燃料電池關鍵材料與製備技術”和“5千瓦直接天然氣SOFC發電系統”；973重點基礎研究計畫“氫能利用燃料電池新型材料研究”；211工程項目“生物質氣燃料電池的研製”以及有關國家自然科學基金課題。

⑵化學氣相澱積化學（CVD）與薄膜材料（CVD Chemistry and Thin Films)

⑶無機膜材料及其技術套用（Inorganic Membranes and Technical Applications)
作為中國無機膜領域的立項和倡導者之一，15年來一直從事無機膜（包括多孔分離膜和緻密導電膜）材料的研究、表征和套用研究。重點基金課題“無機膜的軟化學製備與傳質研究（2001年結題）”獲安徽省自然科學二等獎，基於部分成果組建的“長城新元膜科技有限公司”已能批量生產不同材質和孔徑的多孔陶瓷分離膜，為套用開發提供了物質基礎。目前的套用研究方向包括超細（納米）粉體的化學合成，含油廢水的處理，生物技術和高溫收塵、除塵等領域。同時參入“十五”973項目“面向套用過程的膜材料設計與製備基礎研究” 課題。
