孔五一,美籍華人,1953年5月1日出生在內蒙古呼和浩特市,是蒙古族。美國史丹福大學資深研究員,復旦大學客座教授,內蒙古自治區“草原英才”獲得者之一,北京喀薩爾醫學科技有限公司首席科學家,內蒙古弘泰醫學科技有限公司合伙人。她主要從事血液細胞分子生物學以及生物技術的研究與開發工作,在細胞和組織再生、幹細胞、巨核細胞等方面的研究過程中取得許多國際領先的學術成果。

孔五一,美籍華人,醫學,理學博士。美國史丹福大學資深研究員,復旦大學客座教授,內蒙古醫科大學客座教授,內蒙古自治區“草原英才”獲得者之一,內蒙古科技廳聘外國專家,外聘教授,北京喀薩爾醫學科技有限公司首席科學家,內蒙古弘泰醫學科技有限公司合伙人。從事血液細胞分子生物學以及生物技術的研究與開發工作,在細胞和組織再生、幹細胞巨核細胞等方面的研究過程中取得許多國際領先的學術成果。
孔五一教授1980年從北京醫科大學醫學專業本科畢業後回到呼和浩特,在內蒙古醫學院任助教一職。
1985年,孔五一教授去了美國,在美國亞利桑那大學醫學院生理系任研究員,於1992年取得理學博士學位。1993年,孔五一教授轉到加州大學舊金山分校外科,於96年取得博士後學位,並任外科研究員。1999年,孔五一教授來到加州大學洛杉磯分校外科任科研助教,於2001年轉到美國史丹福大學外科,自此開始了她在史丹福大學外科長達十年的資深研究員工作。
研究方向
再生醫學: 在5年前發現了非血小板核糖核酸粒子, 經過五年的研究發現非血小板核糖核酸粒子可以再造各種細胞,可望給各種病人帶來治癒的可能。
研究領域主要集中於:非血小板核糖核酸粒子的發現及功能鑑定;非血小板核糖核酸粒子在皮膚損傷中使疤痕減少的機理;非血小板核糖核酸粒子在糖尿病鼠皮膚損傷後使傷口癒合的功能;非血小板核糖核酸粒子修復冠狀動脈缺血引起的心肌壞死的機理;非血小板核糖核酸粒子恢復肝硬化引起的肝細胞壞死的機理;非血小板核糖核酸粒子恢復損傷的神經細胞的機理;非血小板核糖核酸粒子的RNA功能分析等。
主要學術成就
(1)發現胰蛋白酶在小腸細胞表面是通過調節PAR-2起作用
雖然腸道的消化酶的存在是早已定論的事情。但是這些酶是如何調節腸細胞的活動並不清楚。孔五一教授在1997年發現腸道細胞表面存在一種受體(PAR-2),而PAR-2與體內其他受體不同。PAR-2 是被胰蛋白酶斷解之後才具有活性。而被活化的PAR-2可以進一步調節腸細胞的吸收功能。孔五一教授的研究結果發表在美國科學院雜誌(PNAS)上。此文章已被廣泛引用,多達217次。
(2)首次發現Cyclophilin-C結合蛋白(CyCAP)在慢性炎症中的作用
現在大家所接受的動脈硬化發病,老年痴呆症,以及其他老年病等學說基本上是由於慢性炎症反應學說。孔五一教授在研究中發現CyCAP可以調節體內引發炎症的多肽TNF-alpha 的釋放。孔五一教授已連續發表了數篇有關CyCAP的文章。對慢性炎症反應發生的機理研究做出了重大貢獻。
(3)第一個發現皮膚內的KPRP基因
孔五一教授於2002年在史丹福大學發現一個從未被報導過的基因,通過使用基因庫的分析,孔五一教授的研究結果除發表在專業雜誌上並在世界上第一個繪出了此基因的人的蛋白質圖譜。這項研究成果為全球的基因庫及蛋白庫又增加了一份基本的數據。
(4)第一個發現非血小板核糖核酸粒子
孔五一教授在2005前發現了非血小板核糖核酸粒子。這項發現解決了目前幹細胞研究領域的很多沒有解決的問題。這些問題包括1)為什麼骨髓幹細胞在培養後很快分化為間充質樣細胞,並喪失幹細胞的表面標誌? 2)幹細胞是如何擴增的? 有人認為幹細胞是通過不對稱分裂來擴增的。但是這個理論並沒有數據支持。 3)幹細胞是如何分化的? 雖然幹細胞有多分化特性,但它們的分化基理到目前也不清楚。孔五一教授發現的非血小板核糖核酸粒子解決了以上所提出的各項幹細胞領域的問題。孔五一教授認為,非血小板核糖核酸粒子是形成幹細胞的物質。幹細胞本身不是體內最原始的物質,它們是由非血小板核糖核酸粒子融合而產生的。非血小板核糖核酸粒子可以形成各種種類的幹細胞,而幹細胞的多分化機理即非血小板核糖核酸粒子的多分化機理。此學說於發表在Clinical Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology雜誌上。很多同行專家認為非血小板核糖核酸粒子的發現可以說是一個劃時代的發現。此發現對今後各種疾病的臨床治療可能起到關鍵作用。
總之,孔五一教授共發表SCI論文近30篇,總影響因子約110點,被引次數達400餘次,數年來在國際學術會議受邀報告進10次,並2次獲獎,作為第一發明人,主持申請三次發明專利,。
