ATP Oil & Gas Corporation (ATP) is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of oil and natural gas properties in the Gulf of Mexico and the United Kingdom and Dutch sectors of the North Sea (the North Sea). At December 31, 2010, ATP owned leasehold and other interests in 51 offshore blocks and 88 wells, including 24 subsea wells, in the Gulf of Mexico. It operates 82 (93%) of these wells, including 100% of the subsea wells. It also had interests in 13 blocks and three Company-operated subsea wells in the North Sea. ATP’s average working interest in its properties at December 31, 2010, was approximately 83%. As of December 31, 2010, it had leasehold interests located in the Gulf of Mexico and North Sea covering approximately 321,600 gross and 249,254 net acres, respectively, of which 182,283 gross acres (128,165 net acres) were developed. At December 31, 2010, the Company owns an interest in 29 platforms.
