現任中國科學院上海有機化學研究所所長、研究員、博士生導師。1986年本科畢業於四川師範大學化學系,1992年和1996年在中國科學院上海有機化學研究所先後獲碩士、博士學位,導師為著名的有機化學家黃耀曾院士和戴立信院士;1996年至1999年先後在美國Colorado State University和Georgetown University從事博士後研究,1999年進上海有機化學研究所;是第九屆中國青年科技獎獲得者、全國優秀科技工作者;2000年入選中科院“百人計畫”,2015年增選為“中國科學院化學部院士”,2019年榮獲第四屆“中國化學會手性化學獎”。
