作者簡介
威廉•莎士比亞（William Shakespeare，1564-1616）是英國文學傑出的戲劇家、詩人，也是歐洲文藝復興時期重要、偉大的作家，全世界卓越的文學家之一。其流傳下來的作品包括約39部戲劇、154首十四行詩、兩首長敘事詩等，對後世影響廣泛而深遠。
朱生豪(1912年2月2日-1944年12月26日)，著名翻譯家。曾就讀於杭州之江大學中國文學系和英語系。1933年大學畢業後，在上海世界書局任英文編輯，參加《英漢四用辭典》的編纂工作，並創作詩歌。寫有詩集多種，均毀於戰火。同時還在報刊上發表散文、小品文。他是中國翻譯莎士比亞作品較早的人之一，譯文質量和風格卓具特色，為國內外莎士比亞研究者所公認。
