2003年在美國肯特州立大學英語系獲哲學博士學位。1998年在美國阿克倫大學英語系獲文科碩士學位。1988年在西安外國語學院英語系獲文科學士學位。曾在美國肯特州立大學英語系講授《美國文學：1865-1945》、《大學英語》等課程。曾任美國阿克倫大學“寫作實驗室”寫作指導。1988年至1996年分別在西安外國語學院和蘇州大學外語系任助教及講師。
