1993—1997年 華中農業大學大學水產學院淡水養殖專業  學士;
1997—2000年 華中農業大學大學水產學院水產養殖專業  碩士;
2000—2003年 中科院水生生物研究所水生生物學專業  博士;
2003.7-2006.9:講師,華中農業大學水產學院教學和科研工作,於2006年底被評為副教授;
2006.10-2011美國奧本大學農學院漁業系,魚類分子遺傳與生物技術研究室,從事博士後和訪問研究;
2011-教授,華中農業大學水產學院,從事魚類基因組學和魚類遺傳育種教學和科研工作;
湖北省楚天學子;
農業部淡水生物繁育重點實驗室副主任;
