劉曄，教授，博導。2017年入選中組部第十三批“千人計畫”青年項目。2008年於中山大學獲資源環境與城鄉規劃管理專業學士學位；2010年於中山大學獲人文地理學碩士學位；2013年於香港中文大學獲地理與資源管理博士學位。2013年11月至2014年10月，在加拿大萊斯橋大學地理系從事博士後研究。2014年11月至2016年2月，在香港中文大學從事博士後研究，其後任副研究員職位。2016年2月至2016年12月，受聘於英國聖安德魯斯大學，任研究員職位。2017年1月，獲聘中山大學百人計畫副教授。2017年9月，晉升為教授，並獲得博士生導師資格。
