劉小雲，北京大學研究員，基於質譜的蛋白質組學在過去的十年間得到了飛速發展，成為生命分析化學研究中最令人激動的新的前沿領域之一。儘管蛋白質組技術平台在很多方面（比如高靈敏度，高解析度的新型質譜儀及後期高通量組學數據處理）都有了長足的發展，但蛋白質的可變性和多樣性等特殊性質導致了蛋白質研究對技術的要求遠高於核酸。因而繼續大力發展以質譜為基礎的新技術仍然是蛋白質組學領域的核心方向之一。與此同時，運用所發展的新方法來解決實際生物學問題也是關鍵一環。 研究將集中於從整體或系統層次大規模表征感染過程中病原細菌和宿主細胞蛋白質表達水平及翻譯後修飾的變化，並以此揭示病原菌致病的分子機理，為設計和研究抗感染新藥提供理論基礎。
